Commerce Loves Reading Book Festival

Last year’s CLR Book Festival was a highlight for me, and I can’t wait to go back! Here’s my appearance schedule:

10:00 AM STORY STRUCTURE THE HARRY POTTER WAY

Using examples from Harry Potter, Star Wars, and other popular stories, Jeff Garvin will introduce the principles of mythic story structure as revealed by Joseph Campbell. He’€™ll talk about his own process, and teens can participate in an onscreen experiment to identify mythical motifs in their own on-the-spot writing.
